Barcelona Track Day 2008 ?

Greeting from ther UK, an excellent site.

Do any of you track your car, if so do you have a track day schedule for 2008 ?

any dates at Barcelona ? as a few of us on 911uk do a few days across Europe, mostly the Nurburgring, but have ventured to Hockenheim and Monza recently with the German and Italian 911 clubs, but would like to try Barcelona.

So anything planned ?

I'd love to try Nurburgring. We have only planned track days on a very amateur way, just for friends; I'm sure that if you offer us the possibility to join you in the ring, few of us will do.

 

How many cars come from UK to Barcelona Montmeló??? and in which month??? And then we organize a track day spanish cars vs UK cars

We have a plan to drive down to the South of France then up into Italy/Switzerland to 'find' amazing roads.

A few of use want to take in a few tracks, so I am looking at Monza although the Italians are proving difficult to get a date !

Plan = Ferry from Southamption UK to Bilbao...
then - Barcelona - Barcelona F1 Track - Millau bridge, France - Nice, France - Monaco - Pisa, Italy - Maranello, Italy - Milan, Italy - Monza F1 Track - Stevilo Pass, Italy - Zurich, CH - Stutgart, Germany - Nurburgring, Germany to Calais, France for the Ferry back home.

No date as of yet planned but either May, June or July.

Very nice route!!! But in May are the Porsche days in Spa (Belgium) for me the TOP. If you finally haven´t track day in Monza come to Spa!! very very nice...:D



And in June we found one day in Barcelona F1 track to run with yours, but we need how many cars run.

Hi!!! this year Spa is the last week of April, and the track day in Barcelona is best in May, because in June the weather....very hot.

How many cars from UK came to Barcelona??

UK cars, numbers are unknown yet.

As soon as dates and costs are available, then I should get an idea.

As a few will drive down and others will have their cars transported down.

Albacete

My two cents... Its possible to rent Albacete circuit for a day. Its a good track , not as quick as Mont-melon , but fun and very technical. They allow 8 cars at once , and you oragnise you own day. It used to cost about 1.8 K sterling , but I can check. Not much if there's a few of us.... I have used madrid on ocasions but its a lot more expensive. The normal "trackdays" here tend to be pretty dodgy as you get a mix of cars and sometimes you get a lot more bang for your buck hiring a track. I know nothing about renting BCN track as its a long way away for me.. but I could find out.

One week ago Jürgen – Alzen - Motorsport team came to Albacete to make tests with :[porsche] 997 GT3 RSR. They were happy with the track and facilities.

In may and June they have all the weekends allready booked, but on may 5,6,7,12,13,14,20,21,26,27,28 and june 2,3,4,9,11,16,17,18 are still free. Since mid-june the weather is really warm. The basic price for a full day (10:00 to 18:00 Hrs) is about 3800 €
